About the Artist

About Tammy:
Tammy started drawing at an early age and was enrolled in the talented art program in both junior high and high school.  However, she did not pursue art in college but instead planned a career in law enforcement following a stint in the military.

Tammy was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2001 and served on active duty until 2008 when she left to pursue that law enforcement career.  Unsatisfied with her career choice, she got the rare opportunity to return to the Marines in 2012 and that remains her full-time job today.

Over that time she dabbled with art and even completed a course of instruction with the distance-learning Art Instruction School.  Finally, in 2015 she decided to take the plunge into the fan art community after doing some Funko-inspired art for one of her favorite TV shows, The Walking Dead.  Her first convention appearance was at Walker Stalker Atlanta that same year.

She enrolled in the Academy of Art (online) as a part-time student, but had to disenroll due to the operational tempo at work. She continues to make fan art when she can and is also working on several original projects to include a successfully funded Kickstarter campaign for an illustrated book.  She currently works out of her home studio in Norfolk, VA.
